![]() ![]() Zizare is in a very similar spot to Oceara, which is why I'm doing it second. Oceara also has coverage issues, being an (almost) monotype attacker, however, if this is used as a mechanism to keep it from being too strong, then I don't see too many issues with this, as having lots of coverage and a base SpA of 110 has the potential to be a reciple for disaster (remember Gyalis having Haito Uchi?). Will Ukama still be the king of water types? Probably, but with a stronger turn 1, Oceara then becomes an actual consideration for teams wanting raw power. However, Oceara can then take over as the premium water-type attacker, while Ukama remains as consistent as it is. For this reason, I suggest that:ĪBH is still relatively weak at only 67 base power, allowing Ukama to maintain its niche as the better turn 1 option thanks to WC being so incredibly strong with 33 BP more as well as the toxic synergy. Oceara does have Serbatiyo's Wrath, which is very powerful, however, it rarely lives long enough to use it and it doesn't have enough of a payoff to make that lack of a turn 1 even close to worth it. This makes Oceara's turn 1 very weak, to the point that it makes Ukama the better pick 100% of the time. Most notably, Ukama has Aqua Bullet Hell (ABH) and Water Cannon (WC) at the same time, while Oceara only has Ice Shuriken (IS) to use off of a very poor base attack stat. Oceara's primary problem is a lack of options as its pool of techniques is tiny by comparison to Ukama. ![]() They share the same typing, same base speed, and the same trait, with a degree of overlap in learnset (Tsunami and AWW). Oceara has a lot of competition between itself and the premier water type from Deniz to this day - Ukama. Tems like Shuine are larger issues and should probably be discussed in their own thread(s). Full reworks or overhauls in learnset have no place in this thread. The main focus of this thread will be minor changes that can be made in a relatively small amount of time, such as the Cipanku update patch. I'm going to list some below and pass this thread around the comp community to add any further suggestions as they see fit. With that in mind, there are some tems that just need a little bit of help to go from seeing almost 0 play to being usable. Some tems fall under that category right now, but we're only up to lv 58 so I'm willing to accept that there's more to see. This is great! I can also see clear evidence of this in tems that do exist, it's obvious to me that this statment is still true. It has been said in the past that when developing Temtem, no "bad" tems would be made on purpose. ![]()
